The Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa is a new 4 star plus, luxury hotel ideally located in the modern part of Puerto de Mogan, a short stroll from the marina and beach.
Opened in January 2005, the hotel has 399 standard double rooms in the main building and past the first of the two pools starts the Canarian-style village (complete with town hall and church facades) where the 92 suites are located. The hotel's grounds spans some 48,000 square meters and includes two main swimming pools (heated in winter and one with a small coral beach area), sun decks, separated children's playground and pool, tropical gardens complete with palms and fruit trees and tennis courts.

As you enter the vast reception hall and lounge area the "aim to impress" factor starts with incredible architecture which includes rock and cave formations of the lobby with cascading waterfalls, pools of water and a stream running through the lounge areas visible below as you cross the bridge to the lifts. The hotel bedrooms themselves are tastefully decorated with quality, modern furnishings and include air conditioning, heating (for the occasional cool winter nights), satellite TV with DVD player (DVD rental from the lobby), mini-bar, private bathroom with full bath, shower and hairdryers, direct-dial telephone and a terrace or balcony with views of the gardens, grounds and Puerto de Mogan. Suites in addition to having a larger bedroom also have additional lounge area, dressing area and some have private garden.
Each of the two main pools has a pool-side restaurant serving drinks, snacks and full meals throughout the day, one being more modern/international in its cuisine and the other a Spanish tapas restaurant. The hotel's main buffet restaurant serves breakfast and dinner with show cooking and table service if required. There's a separate and exclusive A La Carte restaurant for guests wanting to try something a little special (wait until it's time for desert and liqueurs!) Our rates here include Breakfast and Dinner in the buffet restaurant. Guests can opt to have lunch in place of buffet dinner leaving them the option to dine by night in the A La Carte restaurant.
The lounge area downstairs is a place to relax for after dinner drinks before passing through into the discotheque where the start of the evening includes live entertainment and later into the night the DJ and dance-floors are the areas of entertainment.
The hotel also offers a childrens staffed mini-club, a spa with sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and treatment rooms, its own 3-lane bowling alley, squash court and entertainment and activities during the day as well as by night.
Within a 10-minute walk you have the always popular marina and older part of Puerto de Mogan where regular ferries leave during the day for other resorts on the south-west resorts such as Puerto Rico and the golden-sand beach & beachfront promenade. Though an ideal property and location for those looking for some luxury, peace and quiet in the year-round sunshine, the entertainment and activities offered in the hotel and the wide range of excursions available to travel around the island make this the perfect choice for all types of holidays.
